Standing proudly (and rather prettily) on Clapham Common is our iconic pub – haven for the hungry, the weary and those with a powerful thirst. Renowned locally (far-and-wide too) for being a bang-on pub for meeting up with pals for a decent pint, for flipping fantastic food, and for being super dog-friendly – of course.

Not only all that (and that is a lot) but we also have 42 eclectic, boutique-y bedrooms too.
Handily located a 5 minute stroll from Clapham Common and Clapham South tube stations, you can hit the shops, the West End, or any of the other London-y sights lickety-split.

Whether it’s a family 3-course sit down meal, supping on perfectly-poured pints or cosying up fireside with a glass of red (or a bloody good Bloody Mary), we look forward to having you at the best pub in Clapham (in local Danny’s opinion, that is).

Walk into the Women’s Six Nations 2025

Calling all rugby fans! We’re your go-to spot for the Women’s Six Nations action. From 22nd March to 26th April, catch the tackles, tries, and fumbles with a pint in hand and a classic pub snack to match.

We are walk ins only – however, if you have a big enough squad (20-30 guests) our garden ‘Max Shack’ is available for bookings.

From the buzz at the bar, enjoying a bottle of wine (the posh stuff) by the fire – plus potential cuddles with pub dog Monty.

Chef Hamoun is a serious force to be reckoned with when it comes to Sunday roast. From our succulent roasted meats from the famous Ginger Pig to his oh-so-crisp roasties, pourable-perfection that is his gravy, and mountains of giant Yorkshires. Oh, and his show-stopping sharing roast is the best in the Clapham (possibly the world).
